In July of last year, Consolidated Pipe was charged with installing mile-long gas line into an existing steel mill in Farrell, Pennsylvania. This was 12”, .375 gage, X52 grade pipe that was electric resistance welded and a fusion bond epoxy precision-coated between 14 and 16 mils in thickness.

With a lot of moving parts—between sales, distribution, our FBE facility, transportation, and installation—this is the kind of job we love to do. Covering a mile of ground always poses logistical challenges, as seen in the rail line underpass below, but every member of the Consolidated Pipe family shines brightest when we’re all working together to rise above those challenges and get the job done.
